This surfeit of material is understandable given the wealth of classical source texts available concerning Hekate (clearly the deepest repository of data for any of the darker-hued goddesses), and also her aesthetics which have an almost innate appeal for those with, how you say, more cimmerian proclivities. This isn’t even Ixaxaar’s first foray into Hekate’s world, stretching back to at least 2010 and Mark Alan Smith’s Queen of Hell. I’m not locked into any of this one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly change as we learn, grow, and interact with one another - but it’s good to know where and why I started, and articulating my goals that may just you the incentive to come back for more.Hekate is a goddess with no shortage of books about her, and the shelves here at Scriptus Recensera do not want for her tomes, whether it’s Robert von Rudloff’s Hekate in Ancient Greek Religion, Sarah Iles Johnston’s Hekate Soteira or a veritable hoard of titles from Sorita d’Este and Avalonia Press.

If I blog successfully throughout the next year, what would I hope to have accomplished? – A nice body of work, with a fluid style, story and progression into the Qliphothic Tree of Death.

Who would I love to connect with via your blog? – Fellow occultist of the Left Hand Path who can draw inspiration through my art work and practice and share their experiences and practice.

What topics will I write about? – Aside from the Erotic Art, I will update with progress of my occult studies as well as stories behind the art that inspired me, through meditation and ritual.

Why am I blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal? – I already do that.
